This is perhaps the best site on the Web for Internet newcomers and for not-so-new internautas who want to really get a feel for what the Internet is all about, build their confidence and start finding their way around cyberspace. It includes step-by-step advice on using browsers, search engines, ‘plug-ins’, chat, sending e-mails etc. A well-organised, ‘must-visit’ site for anyone interested in making the most of the Internet.

General reference
In this section you will find links to sites of both professional and personal interest for teachers working with primary school age children in Spain. There are links to the MEC, Comunidades Autómomas, libraries, museums, newspapers and magazines. We strongly recommend you visit the Macmillan Heinemann ELT community site ‘One Stop English’ from where you can link to resources and information of special interest to language teachers. This is the official web site of the British Association of State English Language Teaching. It lists 96 college and university institutions in the UK offering English language teachers' courses. Each institution has a clickable link to a page explaining details of the courses offered, the location, the costs, accommodation etc.

The British Council

The British Council’s English Language site provides information on teacher development conferences and workshops, as well as on its English teaching operations around the world, and on EFL schools that it accredits within the UK. The site also has a list of the British Council’s current teaching vacancies for which teachers can apply online, and it gives access to the ‘English Language Teaching Contacts Scheme’ (ELTeCS) designed to promote contact between teachers around the world.
